CET:
The call consists of call modules, addressing different energy technology and system challenges as well as different RDI approaches and thus complementing and completing each other.
CM2024-04 Carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS):
“In addition to technological solutions, proposals should also address environmental, social, and economic implications that might impact industrial application of the proposed technology”.
CM2024-05 Hydrogen & renewable fuels:
“The call module also addresses environmental, societal and economic challenges requiring solutions”
CM2024-06 Heating and cooling technologies and CM2024-07 Geothermal energy technologies
“Proposals are encouraged to consider cross-cutting issues such as economic modelling, social aspects, environmental concerns, etc”.
CM2024-08 Integrated regional energy systems:
“The following are some examples of regional challenges for the energy transition, even though applicants can also choose their own challenge covering a relevant solution approach.
• Enable citizens, need-owners and other stakeholders to take part in the related value chains”
CM2024-10 Clean energy integration in the built environment:
“three challenges are defined in this call module, namely:
• Challenge 3: Development of new concepts and technologies to renovate and refurbish the built environment
o Novel holistic plus economically viable renovation concepts including demonstration, LCA, etc.
o ”User” acceptance and economic viability of renovation”

Biodiversa+ e Water4All hanno pubblicato 10 e il 12 settembre due nuovi bandi che richiedono il coinvolgimento di esperti in scienze sociali e umane.
Di seguito un estratto dei bandi con focus sulle discipline SSH.
Biodiversa+
“The call aims to fund transnational, inter- and transdisciplinary, and cross-sectoral research projects that will generate knowledge to help to safeguard biodiversity and ecosystems, and the benefits these may provide to people, through transformative change to mitigate and reverse biodiversity threats”.
[…]
“To meet the transformative goals of this call, projects are expected to be interdisciplinary. Research teams should therefore span all disciplines of relevance for their project, be it from natural, social, and technical sciences, humanities and/or arts”.
Scheda complete qui.
Water4All
“Proposals are required to address at least one of the following topics:
2) Resource recovery and valorization:
o assessing the applicability of recovered materials for various uses, considering emerging standards and regulations for resource recovery, business models and the Life Cycle Analysis of the recovered materials across the value chain.
3) Economic, environmental and social implications of water reuse and recovered products:
o identifying and assessing economic and social aspects collectively influencing stakeholders’ awareness, market confidence and acceptance, social acceptance, opportunities, drivers and barriers to the creation and adoption of solutions for water reuse and resource recovery and reuse.
o developing management strategies, policy options, steering mechanisms and governance systems that facilitate the integration of circularity methodologies into existing water management frameworks while addressing economic and social concerns”.
